thanks..

As a thanks to you for all your support, love, and loyalty... i've reduced the price of over 20 hair accessories for you this Holiday Season!
This has been a busy month, traveling here to there..selling up a storm. Making a name for myself not only in California but other states as well. I'm so lucky to have something like this keep me on my toes..especially with the way of the economy is going, I truly want to thank everyone who has purchased items over that past year. As for now, I am thankfully swamped with Christmas orders! So, if you're looking for something cute, original, and fairly priced for this holiday season...you know where I am.

Map Walls

My kids are always asking me where countries, states, oceans, lakes, anything is located on a map. I would love a huge map covering my wall so we could explore together. We love our globes but something spread across the room would just be so awesome. I love these rooms...

A Light in the Attic

I grew up with an attic bedroom. It was pink. Everywhere. Pink shag carpet, pink walls, pink bed spreads, pink curtains. All pink. And I loved it! I loved it when I was 5 and I loved it even more when I was 17. The pink is gone now. It was a sad day in our family so I wrote an ode to that lovely pink shag. My mom gave us all a carpet remnant and a copy of the poem for Christmas the year they re-decorated the pink room. We still call it the pink room and when I think about that room it's still pink in my mind.

Friend Christmas Gifts

Do you give friend gifts? I love to make little treats for those closest to me but I want to make sure they are something they really like and not something that's going to be chucked the minute the door closes. Should I make something yummy? Should I give something like a bottle of rootbeer made to look like a reindeer with a card attached saying, "We're 'ROOT'ing for you to have a won'DEER'ful Christmas!"

What do you think about this d.i.y. s'mores kit? Would you make the s'mores or just stick them in your cupboard and find them 2 years later and then throw them out? (Not that I've done that)

I love these cake pops. But are they more for the kids than adults?
Photo from here. Original "Cake Pops" instructions.

Maybe a cute little jar of tiny cookies? And the glass jars are great for many other purposes.

Or go the non-food route and give a calendar? I love calendars *hint, hint*.
This calendar is beautiful, and I love it on the clipboard.

Another clipboard idea...
Whatever I decide it will be out of love and friendship. And if you do throw it away, just make sure I never know. :)

Tablecloth Colors and Texture.... How to Use Them to Create the Perfect Setting

When deciding what color tablecloth to use, keep in mind the food should be the focal point of any table setting. I suggest avoiding a cloth with a busy pattern. The cloth should compliment your rooms decor and your china pattern.

Select a color that is already in the room. It does not have to be the exact hue, it can be several shades lighter or darker. Be sure that it also looks good with the china and serving pieces you will be using. Add interest by selecting a color that contrasts the dinnerware while complimenting it.

The texture of the fabric you choose can also add interest and set the tone (formal or casual). The three cloths shown below all have a sheen to them which tends to make them more formal. Their lustrous surface along with their tone on tone pattern create interesting textures without being busy.

All of these cloths are machine washable and are available in a variety of colors and custom sizes. Visit http://www.roseinteriors.com/ for more information

If You Are Stumped On What To Get Me For Christmas, Here Is My List...

Love these pretty necklaces. So original and beautiful!

I'm getting a huge kick (hahaha!) from this butter dish

Any of these keys would do....

But the turquoise one is especially beautiful and so my style.

This is just about the sweetest cupcake plate ever! My cupcakes would look even yummier.

This seriously cracks me up! I love a good, crazy piece of jewelry. And it's on a Scrabble tile, genius.

Beautiful!!! And Pendelton wool. Could it get better? Maybe if it were bigger and I could put a coordinating wallet inside, then it's better.

Tablecloths Can Create an Elegant Setting

Tablecloths can be used to set the mood for a party or event. The beautiful damask cloth shown below creates a formal setting. Don't be afraid to be creative when setting the table, mix and match patterns as we did below by adding a stripe table runner and napkin rings.

Tablecloths are the foundation for creating beautiful table settings. Use them to help create the ambiance for your event. Do you want a formal feeling or more casual? Perhaps playful or festive would better describe the gathering you are planning. The colors and fabrics you choose for your tablecloth, napkins, runners and accessories can set the tone.
The tablecloths, napkins and table runner shown here are available in variety of colors and custom sizes at http://www.roseinteriors.com/

Something For My Kitchen

I've been looking for a print to put in my kitchen above my kitchen sink. It is a very important place because we do not have a dish washer so we spend a lot of time at our sink, staring at the blank wall. I would like something bright and fun. I went to etsy to see what I could find...

This one is nice and simple. I like the retro feel.

The next two are from the same artist. I really like all her work.

I love this print! I think because it's unexpected for a kitchen. I want to be unexpected.

This print is for my children. Maybe it will sink in while they are laboring away. I'm not past using mind-games on my kids.
